The Kings Play

One of several 15th century Christmas plays (including the beloved Shepherds Play), the Kings Play tells the tale of five kings: the three noble kings from the East and their journey to Bethlehem, the evil King Herod, and the Christ child himself. It is a great story, told by a great cast of your neighbors and friends.

Soup & Soul
Directed by

Join the community at a beautiful Rappahannock County home for a potluck dinner (the soup) followed by a presentation by a local artist or writer about his/her work and creative process (the soul). Place and directions supplied when reservations are made.

Creative Writing Workshop
Open to students of our award-winning National Geographic photography workshop. Students will collaborate writing a book about their photos; the final product will be part of the Rappahannock Story Project.


Dates: Nov 7th, 14th and 21st and Dec 5th and 12th (no class on Nov 28th, Thanksgiving)
$135 per student.

Art Fest
at The Link in
Sperryville, VA
Art Fest: Come join the students and their families at Art Fest on August 9th from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Students who have participated in the Summer Camps will display their own art work and framed photography, perform in a short one-act play, and serve appetizers that are made by the students themselves, using locally grown produce. Spark ! has partnered with Headwaters, Target, National Geographic, Circuit City, the William and Mary Greve Foundation, Psychological Rejuvenation, and the Virginia Commission for the Arts.
